Our family stayed in the Royal Palm Suite. This was a perfect place for our family! It is a nicely kept home and the open layout was great. The rooms were clean, spacious and provided plenty of storage space. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking and having meals. The furniture and beds were very comfortable too. We also enjoyed having the beautiful pool and outdoor area with a grill to use. This house is only a block from the beach and a short walk to the village. Siesta Key beach is utterly beautiful and the sand is fine and pure white. A public beach is nearby which provides just the right amount of activity and people-watching as they walk the shoreline. The village is full of good restaurants, shopping, live music, coffee shops, ice cream (Olafs!) bike rentals...it's all there! Can't say enough, and we'll definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Siesta!

My wife and I, both retirees in our 60s, loved Gumbo Limbo. Our biggest concern is that the places we choose to stay are clean and comfortable, with an emphasis on clean. Gumbo Limbo delivers on both counts. The carpet was clean, the bathrooms were spotless, and the bed was freshly made with clean linens. We both felt very comfortable staying in the Honeymoon Suite. (I guess you’re never too old!) The location is terrific. It’s only a half block to the beach. You can be there in minutes. We both really liked the private, almost secluded setting of the complex. Even though it’s a half block from a busy (but slow traffic street), the complex was quiet. It had a sort of Zen feel to it. We liked the two balconies that looked down into the garden and pool. With the exception of one night when some frisky young girls splashed around in the pool, the area was quiet and peaceful. The owner Virginia graciously allowed us to check in early because we flew in from the cold East Coast at an ungodly early hour, and had no place to go for hours. Virginia also met us at the condo, and was a delight to talk to. You get the feeling that she really cares and would correct any problem. She has a stockpile of beach chairs and umbrellas so you don’t have to rent the stuff. Very nice! Now the place isn’t cheap, but I imagine it’s sort of in line with the cost of other condos in similar situations. As for room tips, just know that some of the units, like

If you have a chance to visit Siesta Key you need to stay at Gumbo Limbo!!! In early March we stayed in the Hibiscus Suite and it was great!! We were on vacation for Spring Break with our two kids. The beach is literally 60 steps from the unit we rented. The owner of Gumbo Limbo provides beach chairs, umbrellas, buckets etc for your beach vacation. Siesta Village is just a short drive down the street where we enjoyed breakfast at Another Broken Egg and dinner at the Lobster Pot. Plus Siesta Key is the perfect location if you want to enjoy some Spring Training baseball as it situated on the west coast of Florida. You can make a short drive to Bradenton, Fort Myers, Sarasota and Tampa to watch any number of teams. I promise you will not find a cleaner property in the area. Oh it also has its own lagoon pool!! We have already booked a return trip for next year.

We stayed in the Honeymoon suite at Gumbo-Limbo! It was spotless & had everything you could possibly need. Virginia is so welcoming and you can always reach her. You really don't need a car! The beach is 1/2 block & the Village is also within walking distance. Virginia can help

Our family frequently vacations in Siesta Key, Fl although this was the first time we stayed at Gumbo Limbo. It was a great place to stay. One block from beach, not too far to walk to Village, nice private swimming pool, neat and clean condo with all amnesties. The only thing wished that they provided would be beach towels along with your linens. Great place to stay and would suggest it to everyone and we will be staying there again.

Stayed here again with some friends for some relaxing beach and pool time. We love it here! Very quiet, and steps from the beach. Condo is very well equipped, and there was even some beach and pool toys this year which was great! Our AC acted up, and it was fixed in a timely manner thankfully! We just went to the pool when it was warm in side. Plan to return again next year!
